Weekly chat on skype about helping the needy. The mitzva of chesed with ones body as opposed to the giving of charity. Baruch Hashem everybody loves to help encourage, make others happy and donate our money and our time. this way of life needs strengthening in the 25-45 age group who put a lot of effort into their success at work and find it difficult to find time to volunteer as if this is the time to invest only in their work and family. A big mistake if you believe 1. Volunteering on a permanent basis is suitable for pensioners and for youth 2. Volunteering at the cost of my business?... after all time=money 3. I give charity to and thereby fulfill my obligation and do not need to volunteer Therefore from today let’s discuss this on the web. Send your questions to jewish85@gmail.com and we will meet on skype. Baruch Hashem you have a job. Perhaps there is a sickly person in the building next door that needs help carrying parcels or wishes that someone would come visit them so they would not feel so lonely? From today make known to all at work and home... I am willing to help! A small story to illustrate the above: In a suburb of Jerusalem there is a very sick man. All is hair has become white, his body has deteriorated and even his very slow walking demands great effort. I asked him what I could help him with and with everything was his reply. He stared at me and told me some difficult things and said that he is even unable to carry the pot of food to the living room. On Shabbat TG his married children come to him in shifts and help him out however during the week he is need of a lot of assistance and there is almost no one who comes to help.
